For the last 2 years or so, it’s been Donald Trump vs. the world.
It’s really remarkable how many people have tried to stop Trump from winning the presidency and then being a successful president. 15+ presidential candidates tried to stop him. The GOP establishment. The Democrat establishment. Hillary. The media. The Deep State. Obama’s FBI. Obama’s DOJ. The resistance movement. Hollywood. World leaders across the globe. Mueller. The list goes on and on and on of people who are actively trying to make sure that Trump fails.
And yet, here he is doing a phenomenal job as president of the United States.
From Washington Examiner:
President Trump scored a 40 percent approval rating in mid-April, the highest level of support he has seen in the Washington Post and ABC News poll since his first 100 days in office one year ago.
Forty percent of U.S. adults are happy with Trump’s performance, and that number is even higher, 44 percent, among registered voters, according to the April 8-11 survey.
Trump’s disapproval rate is 54 percent among registered voters and 56 percent among all adults.
How about that?
He’s doing better than Obama at the same point in his presidency when it comes to the Rasmussen poll as well.
From The Hill:
President Trump on Tuesday touted his job-approval rating in a conservative-leaning poll, saying it is now higher than former President Obama’s was during the same period of his presidency.
“Thank you to Rasmussen for the honest polling. Just hit 50%, which is higher than Cheatin’ Obama at the same time in his Administration,” the president tweeted.
Half of voters told Rasmussen’s daily tracking poll on Monday that they approve of Trump’s performance in office, 4 points higher than Obama scored on the same tracking poll on April 2, 2010.
Something obviously isn’t adding up here.
Can you imagine what these numbers would look like if the media covered him fairly?
And make no mistake, the media does not cover him even remotely fairly.
From Washington Times:
It has been a pattern since President Trump was inaugurated well over a year ago. Coverage of the White House on the “Big Three” broadcast networks — ABC, CBS and NBC — remains 91 percent negative, according to a new study by the Media Research Center, which has been tracking the phenomenon since Mr. Trump hit the campaign trail in 2016.
It was over 90 percent hostile then — and remains so now. The trend is unprecedented, according to the analysis.
The conservative press watchdog monitored nightly evening networks newscasts throughout January and February to find that anchors and correspondents uttered 10 times more negative comments about the president than positive statements. Analysts examined over 500 stories.
“The results are essentially unchanged from the 90 percent negative coverage we documented for all of 2017, and matches the 91 percent negative coverage we tallied during the 2016 general election campaign,” said Rich Noyes, senior editor for Newsbusters.org, the analytical arm of the Media Research Center.
These positive poll numbers for Trump show you just how out of touch the liberal media and D.C. pundits still are. They still don’t get it.
They can’t seem to wrap their heads around the fact that voters don’t care about Trump’s personal life 15 years ago. They don’t care he uses bad language sometimes. The people that put Trump in the White House just care about results and they are getting them.
